We at Knitted Wit wear our values on our hand-knitted sleeves, and want to make sure our LYS partners know where we stand on important topics. We are committed to anti-racism and dismantling white supremacy. We are pro-choice. We are LGBTQIA+ friendly. We believe in progressive values. We often use our platform to advocate for the things we believe in, and have a growing line of Colorways for a Cause, that include a 10% donation to organizations of our choice, which means that those skeins are 10% more wholesale.
Knitted Wit welcomes all folks into our communities, both virtual and physical, regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, size, or age. We are a hate-speech free zone, and will delete and block folks who promote hatred, racism, misogyny, and other gross things.
Knitted Wit Land Acknowledgement:
We acknowledge the land on which we reside in the Portland Metro area rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River creating communities and summer encampments to harvest and use the plentiful natural resources of the area, and we take this opportunity to thank the original caretakers of this land.
