Camille and Lucille hit the trail early this morning to find the perfect spot for birdwatching! 🪶🪺They spotted two rare birds, but definitely not the type they were expecting! 🦤 We hope everyone else is enjoying this summer as much as we are and checking off those vacay bingo boxes!! After rinsing the yarn and spinning out the water, we snap skeins and get them ready for the dry room. We have cotton ties in the skeins to help keep them tidy. I tend to snap four skeins at a time, and put 12-16 skeins on a pvc pole. It’s a satisfying, muscle building task! 😅

I’m making a granny stitch blanket with a bunch of Unicorn Giggles in DK! I have one more partial skein and then I’ll retire the project and start a new one! Do you have a grab and go project?

We talked about a few color names and their inspiration’s yesterday in the live, it might have been hard to hear over the fan 😅😮‍💨 the yarn color in the top of the screen is Manocide, the middle one is The Vangenda, and the one at the bottom of the screen is Death To Sexism. These colors were born out of anger and frustration with the 2016 election cycle and the summer Olympics. I am forever grateful to process what is happening in color and that y’all are here to take it and apply it into the magic of making. I hope color and making are a balm in these times.
